Dance Matters – Series 1, A Woman’s Work:
After Hours Cabaret

To celebrate Dance Matters’ 10th season, there will be a catered reception after the Saturday show with integrated performances that relate to our show theme, A Woman’s Work. The short performances will take place in the area of the reception and “pop-up” throughout the evening. The cabaret acts can be based in any genre of performance, including but not limited to; dance, theatre, poetry, music, magic, juggling, etc… Each cabaret act selected will receive a $50.00 honorarium, in addition to tickets to the Saturday performance of Dance Matters and drink tickets for the evening.

- Piece description
- A paragraph explaining how the proposed work is suited or can be integrated into a social atmosphere
- List of props, or special technical requests
Curatorial Criteria :
- 3-9 minutes in length
- Works must have the ability to be performed in a low tech venue
- Works from a range of artists – from emerging to senior
- Works from a range of genres or performance
